Lead Firmware QA Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and open-minded Lead QA Engineer familiar with embedded systems testing. You will lead one of the Ring’s product teams and responsible for validation of firmware, taking care of testing sets creation, gathering devices data and reporting issues.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Understand QA processes, techniques, approaches, methodologies, and software development lifecycle, and have the ability to apply the knowledge into the daily operation
  • Lead a team of manual QA engineers
  • Validate the quality of multiple products of the company by establishing a state of the art QA process
  • Estimate and allocate required resources to perform full cycle of product’s validation
  • Communicate with stakeholders and provide reports on product’s quality and it’s readiness for production

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in testing of embedded systems
  • 2+ years experience in leading the QA team (5+ people)
  • Excellent knowledge of testing methodologies
  • Experience in writing test documentation
  • Understanding of embedded systems principles
  • Advanced level in Unix-based systems
  • Network principles understanding
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment in a rapidly growing company
  • Good written and spoken English

  • Experience with RTOS
  • Basic scripting skills
